On Valentine’s Day 2011, Gerhard Michler Fine European Desserts’ client Marti McMahon married her long time love Dr. Stephen Diamond aboard the yacht “California Spirit” on San Francisco Bay.

Marti McMahon, owner of Yacht Connections International is well known for providing full service ultra luxury yachting services on the San Francisco Bay for business and social events. Dr. Stephen Diamond is the owner of Diamond Properties. The ceremony and celebration took place aboard Marti’s recently refurbished yacht the “California Spirit”, with ship captain Bill Nadauld officiating the ceremony on the upper salon, with a stunning background of San Francisco and its world famous skyline.

Following the ceremony, lucky wedding guests including Marti’s sons Darren and Derek, and Mary Huss, Publisher of the San Francisco Business Times, dined on a delicious lobster dinner prepared by the yacht’s executive chefs and staff while enjoying signature cocktails and California wines. The decadent and beautiful custom designed cake was made by none other than our Five Star Austrian Pastry Chef, Gerhard Michler, and featured ocean themed garnishments including hand spun sugar sea shells and starfish sculptures.

Congratulations to Marti and Stephen on their recent marriage. It was an honor to create the wedding cake that was part of their special ceremony, one that they will remember all the days of their lives!
